Dan Olsen

Dan Olsen is a product management consultant, coach, speaker, and author with a wealth of experience. Dan works with CEOs and product leaders to help them build great products and strong product teams, often as interim VP of Product.

Dan has worked with a range of businesses, from small, early-stage startups to large public companies, on a wide variety of web and mobile products. His clients include Facebook, Box, PayPal, Microsoft, YouSendIt (now Hightail), Gartner, Epocrates, Medallia, XING, Financial Engines, and One Medical Group.

Prior to consulting, Dan worked at Intuit, where he led the Quicken product team to record sales and profit. He also led product management at social networking pioneer Friendster and was the CEO and cofounder of TechCrunch award-winner YourVersion, a personalized news startup.

Dan earned a BS in electrical engineering from Northwestern and an MBA from Stanford. He also earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Virginia Tech, where he studied the Lean manufacturing principles that inspired Lean Startup.


 

Ryan Dodds

Ryan Dodds is a product management consultant with a proven track record of building and launching successful software products. His expertise lies in developing product objectives, defining the product, and leading cross-functional teams to execute.

Ryan helps companies achieve product-market fit and become product-centric organizations through a rigorous application of Lean Product principles. His specialties include customer interviews, market research, problem definition, team alignment, user testing, Agile development, and product marketing. Ryan likes using proven user experience (UX) design methods to craft solutions that drive customer and business value.

In addition to being a startup founder, Ryan has product management experience from Sparkcentral and iMatchative, which was acquired by Addepar. Before transitioning full-time to product management, Ryan managed key accounts at Salesforce.com’s product Desk.com, where he served as account executive to high profile clients Square and Eventbrite.

Ryan holds a BA in International Business and an MBA in Technology and Operations from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He enjoys getting outside to take in the views of San Francisco with his wife Ali and their two dogs, eating at SF’s amazing restaurants, and reading.
