Dan has worked with a range of businesses, from small, early-stage startups to large public companies, on a wide variety of web and mobile products. His clients include Facebook, Box, Microsoft, YouSendIt (now HighTail), Epocrates, Medallia, XING, Financial Engines, and One Medical Group.
Prior to consulting, Dan worked at Intuit, where he led the Quicken product team to record sales and profit. He also led product management at social networking pioneer Friendster and was the CEO and cofounder of TechCrunch award-winner YourVersion, a personalized news startup.
Dan earned a BS in electrical engineering from Northwestern and an MBA from Stanford. He also earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Virginia Tech, where he studied the Lean manufacturing principles that inspired Lean Startup.
Ryan helps companies achieve product-market fit and become product-centric through a rigorous application of Lean Product principles. His specialties include customer interviews, market research, problem definition, team alignment, user testing, Agile development, and product marketing. Ryan uses proven user experience (UX) design methods to craft solutions that drive customer and business value.
In addition to being a startup founder, Ryan has product management experience from Sparkcentral and iMatchative, which was acquired by Addepar. Before transitioning to product management, Ryan managed key accounts at Salesforce.com’s product Desk.com as the account executive to Square and Eventbrite.
Ryan holds a BA in International Business and an MBA in Technology and Operations from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
With deep expertise spanning web and mobile products for consumer and business users, Mike has been responsible for flagship products used by millions of customers at companies like Shutterfly and GeoCities (acquired by Yahoo for $2.1B). He was also an adviser to Box during their early pre-IPO phase. As a consultant, Mike is adept at both strategy and execution, leveraging his deep product management functional skills and his domain expertise in mobile applications, e-commerce, platforms, and data analytics. As an early advocate of Lean Product principles, Mike was a technical reviewer of The Lean Product Playbook.
Mike has a BA in Economics from Vassar College where he graduated with honors and was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa. Mike lives in San Francisco and enjoys bike riding in Marin County.
With a focus on e-commerce and consumer sites, Elaine has built responsively designed web and mobile applications for large companies as well as startups. She helped launch and led product for a new skincare brand at Stella & Dot and also worked at Yahoo where she was a product manager on the HotJobs and Small Business properties. She is a strong cross-functional and distributed team leader and collaborator who has a passion for using lean product principles to successfully bring great products and customer experiences to market.
Elaine has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA from University of California, Berkeley. As a San Francisco native, Elaine now enjoys residing in and exploring the suburbs of the Bay Area with her husband and three kids.
